When you visit the encampment your will see fur trade clerks, voyageurs, candle maker, blacksmith, gunsmith, just to name a few.

The fur trade was based on a system of bartering between the Native Americans, Fur Traders and the Fur Trade Companies. - Northwest Fur Trade Company and Hudson Bay Company.

Fur trappers bartered pelts for material goods.
